Two Announcements and a Farewell

Dear friends,

Announcement One

As some of you may have read, my husband and I have walked through miscarriage and infertility over the past several years. We praise God that—literally the day after we decided to give up on human interventions and abandon ourselves to divine grace—we found out we were expecting! Our second child is due October 1st. Truly, “the Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy,” (Psalm 126:3).

The Farewell

In light of this joyous life-change ahead, I’ve decided to say farewell to my blog and this e-letter for the foreseeable future. Over the past four and a half years, it has been a great joy to connect with readers and to witness In Praise of Houseflies published; but I feel called to a season of stepping back from writing to focus on where my womb’s gravity has been pulling me more strongly with each day: home. I may send an occasional note for any exciting updates, but anticipate letting the literary fields lie fallow for a season.

Announcement Two

In other news, In Praise of Houseflies is set for re-release in 2027! Along with a new cover (see below), I hope this will breathe new life into the book and offer an opportunity for more people to be encouraged by its words. Feel free to spread the word!

Thank you for your support over the years. I am truly grateful, and I look forward to connecting again when the time is right.
